Any location accepting more than $1,000 cash per day can benefit from a combined solution with armored carriers and banks using a Unisys empowered solution. Operators feed currency into the bill acceptor just as they would with a vending machine, and the notes are verified (counterfeits are rejected) by denomination and immediately stored in the safe. Relevant data is electronically journaled and optionally transmitted across a network for enterprise wide financial reporting.

All SmartCash Vaults are made of high-strength ¼ inch steel with welded corners and can be bolted to the floor of client locations. Door access is enabled through a combination of a key lock plus a Personal Identification Number (PIN), enabling a dual control process in concert with an armored carrier.

User interface is through a ten-key  numeric pad with additional function keys; all safes are mutli-user capable.

All safes include a manual drop capability for securing unfit notes or checks into the safe without using the feeder.

Unisys SmartCash™ Vault Networked Currency Acceptor Series

The SmartCash Vault 2400 series saves time, boosts productivity, and increases employee security with less cash exposure. It is ideal for cash-intensive businesses that do not require change fund management.

SmartCash Vault accepts, secures and accurately counts currency, and immediately secures it in a steel safe. A range of steel safes can operate stand-alone or networked by Unisys in a secure wireless network.

SmartCash Vault products contain one or two currency acceptors, with each acceptor containing nominally up to 1,200 bank notes. Dual acceptor configurations provide redundancy for one another and double note capacity, extending periods between armored pickups to reduce cost.

Acceptors are also available with bunch note feeders which hold up to (40) notes for automatic feeding into the currency acceptor.

Unisys SmartCash™ Vault Dispensing Series

The SmartCash Vault 7000 series provides the ultimate level of cash control by limiting cash exposure and providing seamless accounting between the POS and your bank. It offers the combined benefits of cash-counting and bill validation with change fund management and an audit trail of all transactions.

SmartCash Vault configurations may be configured to dispense in addition to accept currency. In addition to all of the capabilities of the accept-only safes, this series dispenses up to (120) rolled tubes in ten denominations. Each tube may contain one roll of coin in any denomination, or currency can be rolled up and inserted for future dispense of fixed amounts of change. Configurations allow for a portion of the safe with acceptors to be under dual control for armored purposes, and the dispense side can contain dispensable cash and coin under management control. This enables securing cash with controlled withdrawal, plus the ability to “sell” change to a cashier. 

Unisys SmartCash™ Vault CacheNET High Volume Currency Acceptor

The SmartCash Vault CacheNET 5000 series is a heavy duty, back office solution for the most cash intensive businesses. It provides seamless accounting between the POS and your bank with a comprehensive audit trail.

Sites accepting $50,000 to $150,000 in cash per day will benefit from the 700 note per minute bill counting discriminating ability of the SmartCash Vault CacheNET series. A secure 5,000 note nominal capacity canister is secured inside the safe for dual control access.

Unisys SmartCash™ Vault Networked Solution

Unisys differentiates in the market by hosting an application that benefits end user clients, their banks, and armored carriers. All participating safes are networked with a wireless data network, updating the network with every transaction, including all deposits, pick-ups and transactions. Authorized users can access relevant data with any browser-based device. Banks can receive data uploads at requested times to post to their client accounts.
