Art at the Centre
The centre aims to further communication in a broader sense. Art and culture are not only contemplative but simulate debate and carry ideas beyond the conventional.
The UIMC, based in Saint-Paul-de-Vence which is well known for its art galleries and artists workshops, has been a source of inspiration for the centre's artistic activities. By integrating into the artisitic culture of Saint Paul the centre is able to combine Art and Business for the pleasure of its visitors and employees.
The initiative of art exhibitions at the UIMC dates back to 1990. Since then more than 40 local artists have exhibited at the centre. UIMC selects different types of art to exhibit from abstract and figurative paintings, to sculptures and photos. Over the years the centre has kept relationships with artists and created a community of “UIMC artists”. In 2000 the UIMC celebrated 10 years of art at the centre.
Over the years there has been increased interest in the exhibitions. The inauguration of each exhibition normally takes place in conjunction with an event or seminar taking place at the UIMC and in the presence of local guests from the community. This gives the participants of the events, the artists themselves and the local community the opportunity to see the cultural and artistic side of the UIMC. The exhibition is celebrated with a high quality cocktail in a friendly atmosphere.
External visitors need to make a prior appointment with the centre to visit the exhibition. This can be done by contacting the centre directly, contact details are given below.
